Have fun, build friendships and let your voice be heard at YMCA Youth in Government! Students not only learn valuable skills, they build friendships that last a lifetime!

Research and debate local, national and international issues in economics, politics, social reform, environment, law, and international peace and security.

Take part in hands-on exercises in running local and international governmental bodies.

Serve as legislators, judges, attorneys, lobbyists, cabinet members and governor as you experience what it’s like to run the State of Minnesota for a few days.
Adopt a country and participate on the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, International Court of Justice, Human Rights Council or Newspaper as you work to solve the world’s problems through international relations, diplomacy and crisis management.
Discuss and debate issues of national and international scope with their peers from around the nation at an annual conference in North Carolina.
Student leaders for Model Assembly, Model UN and National Affairs build leadership skills and a greater understanding of how to positively influence others.
