INFORMATION FOR DELEGATION DIRECTORS
Delegation Directors are the chief adult leaders in each delegation. They provide a critical resource in developing Youth in Government programs at the local level, as well as guiding and assisting YIG participants in executing their duties. Delegation Director responsibilities include:
- Recruiting student participants and adult advisors
- Supervise the work of the delegation
- Serve as liaison between students and advisors
- Serve as liaison between Delegation and Youth in Government State Office
- Provide leadership to and serve as a role model for students, advisors and parents
- Attend all conferences and events
- Plan meetings, training and project/task time lines
